How was your first weekend of August? Summer break’s almost over so you better catch up with all the fun stuff this month - and I bet you just couldn’t miss the Jesselton Artisan Market, or as the cool people call, JAM, as they are back with all our artsy essentials with a Merdeka theme! What a fresh way to promote patriotism for a new Malaysia.
JAM has grown to be one of the most anticipated monthly affairs for people from various backgrounds - artsy or not, near or far! Some artisans traveled from KL and other states just to promote their artwork here in our Land below the wind, talk about dedication!
The event has opened up all of us to the many talented Malaysians who aren’t limited to paintings and craft; they come in many cool approaches of art! You’d see some of them selling batik shirts, accessories, and even plants. Trust me, looking at pictures alone isn’t mind-blowing enough.
Here are some pictures to sum up pretty much EVERYONE’s weekend at JAM.
We love all these cute little accessories. From quirky and cute to vintage classic, JAM really had anything you're looking for!
We were definitely amazed by the food stals at JAM! Food is art too, right?
The Where's Alice sandwiches were nothing like we ever imagined, and who ever thought kawaii food only existed in anime bento's? We just love it when people bring our best fantasies to life.
And the ginger bear? Pretty much everyone rushed to get them before they were sold out!
You wont find ordinary ice cream at JAM, especially this Beef Brisket Ice Cream. Yup, it sounds pretty weird, but it wont matter once you actually taste it.
Lucky art lovers got a chance to get their hands dirty to make their own ceramics! Results are proven to be absolutely pretty and worth it.
Now, who ever said the KK Arts Scene was nonexistent??
